This recipe is from El Yucateco. One of my favorite hot sauces. I love it on Thai or chinse food. It is kind of a hybrid Asian sauce with the Mexican. Very tasty and not boring. I tried this recipe with the beef and whoa! The bomb.
4 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of mashed sugar
1 tablespoon of fish sauce
5 cloves of finely chopped garlic
3 tablespoons of Kutbilik sauce THE YUCATECO
3 tablespoons of peanut or canola oil
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
800 gr. of finely chopped beef fillet
2 sliced scallions (head and tail)
1.-Combine the soy, the lemon juice, the mashed sugar, the fish sauce and mix well until the sugar dissolves. Then add the garlic, the Kutbilik sauce EL YUCATECO, the oil, salt and pepper.
2.-In a sealable bowl or bag, mix the beef with the previously prepared sauce and leave to marinate for at least 1 hour.
3.-Cook the beef in a pan until it is cooked and serve with the sliced chives.
